Major Drug Seizure by Brewer Police and DEA : On the evening of September 17, 2007, the brewer Police Department, Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested JUSTINO SOTO ( age 46 of Florida) and ROBERTO RODRIGUEZ (age 22 of Rhode Island) in Brewer, Maine after seizing 2,196 grams of powder cocaine. The cocaine had an estimated street value of between $200,000.00 and $225,000.00. This seizure will seriously impact the availability of cocaine in the area. Read more here....


Charges Lodged in Vandalism Investigation. September 12, 2007. The Brewer Police Department is continuing an investigation into damage that has been done over the summer to the former Eastern Fine Paper Mill on South Main Street. This ongoing investigation has generated charges against one adult and two juveniles. Read more here.

BREWER - When the police officers' votes were tallied for Officer of the Year 2005, the selection for Brewer Police Department turned out not to be an officer at all.

Brewer names Antone chief of police

Lt. Perry Antone, a 25-year veteran policeman, was named the new chief of the Brewer Police Department on Friday.

Selecting Antone from within the ranks of the department to replace Chief Steven Barker, who is retiring at the end of April after nearly 30 years on the force, was an easy decision, City Manager Steve Bost said Friday. Read more here...

Brewer PD seeks identity of robbery suspect.

Brewer Police make large marijuana siezure
February 6, 2006

The Brewer Police department arrested three (3) men Friday afternoon in Brewer for possession of a large quantity of Marijuana. A David Perez age 25 of Winterport Maine was charged with aggravated trafficking in marijuana and is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail. Read more here..
