Brewer Police Department Seeking Identity of Strong Arm Robbery Suspect

Brewer, ME, 8/18/05 – On today’s date at approximately 12:02 p.m., the Brewer Police Department was dispatched to a strong arm robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Marden’s on Wilson Street.
The investigation revealed that a 64 year old Holden man was entering his vehicle when he was assaulted by a white male in his early 20s. The suspect is further described as having short, dark hair, medium build, 5'8"-6'00' tall, wearing dark shorts and a red t-shirt.
The victim struggled with and was assaulted by the suspect. The suspect was able to take a wallet belonging to the victim and fled on foot.
The suspect was picked up by two other white males driving a black, older model, 4 door Ford Escort. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Wilson Street.
Marden’s security personnel, who were instrumental in the investigation, were able to rapidly identify a person of interest in the investigation through video surveillance footage. Still photos of the suspect have been posted at the bottom of this page.
