BREWER POLICE SEEKASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING THEFT/BURGLARY SUSPECT.
The Brewer Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a burglary suspect. The burglary in question was reported on September 2, 2008 at a business in the Wilson Street area. These images of the suspect, taken from surveillance cameras, were obtained by the Brewer Police Department on September 11, 2008. In this particular incident, catalytic converters were stolen from automobiles. Read more here....
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - BICYCLE AUCTION
As a part of the Brewer Days Celebration the Brewer Police Department will be holding a bicycle auction on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Brewer Auditorium.
A pre-auction public viewing of the bicycles will be from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. The auction will begin at 9:30 am.
There are one hundred bicycles that are up for auction, some of the brands being auctioned are: Giant, Huffy, Mongoose, Murray, Pacific, Raleigh, Roadmaster, Saratoga, and Schwinn.
These abandoned bicycles were recovered by the Brewer Police Department during the past four years. The owners of those bicycles have not come forward to claim them and the police department is allowed, under State Law, to sell such abandoned property after holding this property for a period of time set forth in the law.
