Brewer Police Department Disposing of Unwanted Medications

BREWER, MAINE – On April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Brewer Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to the Brewer Public Safety Building at 151 Parkway South. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. The Brewer Police Department asks you take your medicines out of their original containers prior to turning them in for disposal and that you conceal or remove any personal information, including Rx number, on the empty containers by covering it with black permanent marker or by scratching it off.
